Dr. Asmaddy Haris, associate professor, University Sains Islam Malaysia and Dr. Rusmawati, Associate Professor, Department of economics, University of Putra Malaysia, Dr Nazima Elahi, HoD, Department of Economics, Foundation University  visited to Department of Economics, FUUAST Islamabad on December 05, 2018. Along with Dr Ihtsham Ul Haq, HoD Economics and all faculty members were present in meeting and they share their experiences related to teaching and research. Dr. Rusmawati has very good command in field of labour and development while Dr. Asmaddy Haris is more concerned with Islamic economics. It was discussed in details that how these universities can have collaboration in research and teaching. It was also discussed in details that how the students of economics can get benefit from the collaboration. The foreign guests told that many scholars and researchers from around the world are invited to their universities to conduct research under the guidance of or in collaboration with the faculty. Deliver a formal lecture in the Department in future

Participate in departmental or interdisciplinary program seminars

Engage in formal or informal discussions with students

Undertake collaborative research with faculty or staff

Opportunities of Scholarships for the students

It was also decided that such meetings will continue in future for collaborations at the department and university level. At the end Dr Ihtsham Ul Haq presented copies of his recent work on “Multidimensional Poverty in Rural Pakistan”. He also thanked the guests and the faculty for engagement in productive activity and hoped that such collaboration will continue in future.
