The department of Electrical Engineering was established in September 2004 and compromises of 19 faculty members and 353 students. The department is running a PEC accredited program in B.Sc Electrical Engineering (Electronics).  Pakistan Engineering Council have accredited BSc Electrical Engineering (Electronics) program up to the intake of 2006. There are different courses being offered in the department. The medium of instruction is English. Laboratories facilities exist in the following areas.

The present faculty includes three PhDs (two professors and one assistant professor) all graduate from leading institutions. Additionally faculty members include 8 MS Lecturers from leading institutions in Pakistan.
